Look and new identity card beginning January 3, 2012. The main purpose of conversion of the existing identification card to MyKad new structure is to improve the quality and endurance and physical security features to prevent forgery or alterations to the physical surface of the MyKad. National Registration Department strongly encourages the public to get MyKad new structure on the reasons of this new MyKad resistance.
