NORFOLK, England, August 9 - A girl surprised her boyfriend and several other anglers when they successfully caught a giant catfish weighing 54 kilograms in a lake here, recently.
Kirstin Hole, 20, the giant fish while fishing with her boyfriend, Lee Pollard, 29, and a few other fishermen in the Park Oakwood Fisheries in Thetford.
The girl broke records at the same time as the woman who managed to catch the heaviest freshwater fish in the United Kingdom, aside Bev Street raised catfish weighing 29.9 kilograms in 2007.
Kirstin which has a height of 1:57 meters, said that the giant fish as a bus.
After struggling to attract big fish over 2.1 meters to the ground, Kirstin could take a picture before releasing it back into the water.
"I only began to engage in fishing activities since met with Lee a few years ago and it only just to hang out.
"When we are asleep, a signal device installed on my fishing rod rings and I continue to draw the rod," he said.
Kirstin takes about one hour to raise the fish to land. - AGENCY source
